PTEC – Reading Sponsorship
As you are all no doubt aware we are currently all experiencing additional financial pressures due to the increasing energy costs and the general rise in the cost of living, as a school LMPS are not immune to this and as you can image it is immense pressure on an already stretched budget.
The PTEC committee have been discussing what it can do to help the school to maintain the excellent level of provision that it provides the children, especially when it comes to literacy. We do still plan to run the highly successful Christmas and Summer fayres that provide valuable funding for the school, but understand the cost to all families that come with these events, so we have decided to introduce a ‘Reading Sponsorship Scheme’.
The reading sponsorship scheme will give the opportunity for businesses to sponsor reading resources to be used in the school, especially within the Read Write Inc scheme. Sponsorship in any value will be welcome, but the school will also have specific packages of resources that can be sponsored. In return the businesses will be displayed on a ‘Reading Sponsors’ board in the main reception area, advertised at school events and also advertised and thanked in the half termly Sway newsletters.
